Nike’s self-lacing sneakers to cost $720

International fashion brand, Nike, has announced that its self-lacing HyperAdapt sneakers will cost $720.
The sneakers will first be made available in two Nike stores: Nike’s Soho location and at the Nike+ ClubHouse. This will be on December 1.
People can book appointments to try on the sneakers, or they will have to wait until later in that month [December], when the sneakers will be available in other stores and via the Nike+ app.

The Nike HyperAdapt is the first athletic shoe that Nike has released with the self-lacing feature. It is however not the same as the Nike Mage, which had just 89 pairs made available to fans via lottery.
HyperAdapt will be lightweight and rechargeable. LED lights in the sole show the battery life.

8 Fashion Items that every modern Ghanaian woman should have

I love fashion and I  believe  that  every  woman  should  have her own unique sense  of  fashion, a certain manner  of  style that reflects her individuality… it  could  be evident in her clothing, her hair, or  even in her behavior  that  would  make  her  stand out like a flame in the dark.

There are several fashion trends that arise every day and people go crazy for them. Although every woman is entitled to have her own preferences, where fashion is concerned, I believe that a woman’s fashion sense should also reflect her heritage and project her culture.

Since culture is dynamic and the world has become a global village, Ghanaian culture has evolved so much, even  in just the last quarter of a century. Therefore, the Ghanaian woman has changed too and her fashion sense is generally different, as well.

Below  are  eight  fashion  items  that  I believe every  modern  Ghanaian  woman  should  own.

Every  woman  should  have  some  timeless  accessories  that  would  help  to enhance  the  woman  that  that she is. It  could  be authentic gold necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings etc. which your mother would have worn in her twenties. It could also be a colourful scarf that you can drape over your shoulder. In short, the modern Ghanaian woman should stock-up on fashionable accessories that define her beauty.
JACKET/COAT:

Depending on how it is worn, this  particular item tends to give one a formal, or semi-formal look. For  instance, try rocking  a  blazer  with  a  pair  of  blue  jeans  or  even  a  black  blazer  on  a  sheath dress. It  gives  you  that  “BOSS”  look  and  a well-tailored jacket, coat or blazer fits  almost  any  occasion.
AFRICAN  PRINT:

I  would be surprised, if I discovered that there is a Ghanaian woman who has not got any African  print clothes. I consider this to be very essential, especially because of our cultural background.  It is true that most of the wax prints on the Ghanaian market are not manufactured by Ghanaians, but it is also true that African prints have become an integral part of our heritage, as far as fashion is concerned. Every Ghanaian woman looks unique in African print pieces, which means that an African print dress could easily get the attention of a room full of people – and women love to be noticed when they put effort into their appearance. So embrace your African-ness!
HEADGEAR:

A  modern  Ghanaian  woman  should  have  this  item. It reflects a Ghanaian woman’s innate royalty. In  our African, and of course in our Ghanaian culture, headgear is mostly worn to weddings, traditional parties, funerals, outdoorings and the like. But the right headgear, tied the right way, can transform a serious office look into a more funky, modern, avant garde look, with an authentically traditional twist.
BEADS:
Beads are very important, especially to us Ghanaians, because they are some of the most intriguing symbols of Ghanaian culture. Consider our waist beads, for instance, that many of our African men are “crazy  about”. And think about the beaded necklaces that drape over a woman’s bosom, or the chunky rows of beaded bracelets that accentuate a Ghanaian lady’s delicate, yet firm wrist… Whether it’s heavy traditional beads from the Krobo area, or it’s the modern, shiny and colourful plastic or glass beads that have become quite the craze, every woman should have a beaded accessory.
HIGH-HEELED SHOES:

These kinds of shoes every Ghanaian woman should have, because they often come in handy for occasions like weddings, red carpet events, dinner parties and so on. They also tend to give you more a formal, but  classy-cum-trendy look, if they are chosen well. A PAIR OF FLAT SHOES:
A  pair of flat shoes can compliment almost every attire. They also make going about your  daily activities very easy and comfortable and even spare you the trouble of wrecking your high-heeled shoes, considering the fact that most of our side-walk areas and compounds usually have very rough, jagged grounds or graveled terrains. Flat shoes also allow your feet to rest from the strain of high-heeled shoes. There are many flats that are classy and that will still give you the formal and put-together look that your job or a formal event might require. Invest in a good, quality pair! A BRA THAT FITS:
The truth is that many Ghanaian females do not know what their bra size is and so they wear the  wrong bra size. This causes their breasts to bulge out over the top, the sides or the bottom of the bra cups, or in some cases, their breasts look flat and saggy. Apart from the fact that this can take away from the elegance of your outfit, there are more serious concerns at play. If your bra is too tight, or too small, it could get very uncomfortable and you could even experience backaches and/or shoulder pain, which could cause long term health issues.

Also, an ill-fitting bra could give you bruises underneath your breasts, which could eventually develop into sores that could get infected. Every woman should know and purchase her correct bra size. There are several sources of information online (on YouTube for instance) about how to measure for and identify your bra size. Some sources even teach you about the different bra cuts and what type of bra is suitable for a particular style of dress or blouse, which is also great information for a fashionista to have. Get educated and get the right bra!

Ladies, being fashionable is important, because appearance in itself goes a long way in saying a lot about a person. But above all, having your own unique identity and being confident in expressing that identity is a beautiful thing that makes you more attractive and enhances your status as a powerful Ghanaian woman, in your own right. You don’t necessarily have to follow so-called fashion trends; embrace your inner creativity and be uniquely fashionable.
